So this is love…

“So this is what makes life divine”…

Have you ever dreamed, craved and thought endlessly about a piece of clothing? This is exactly how I felt about the Madison Margiela Glam Slam Coat. First shown at the Fall/Winter 2019Paris Fashion Week Show. I was instantly in love with the piece. It was unique, but ideal for an eat coast winter (windchill anyone?). When it came out the I had sticker price shock. Like, it wasn’t a reasonable price point for me, but I know I needed it in my life. It always stuck with me, anytime I would see it online I would yearn for it. It like’s what my fashion favorite Amanda Murray, londongirlnyc on ig, always says “what’s for me will come to me”. Oh, do I truly believe this now!

In 2022, I knew it had to be mine. I searched on all the online consignment shops from The Real Real, Vestiaire Collective, Grailed, and Ebay and found a few pieces. They were all over $1500 so I decided to wait until the price inches down. I saw one version that I wanted so badly, but it sold out on The Real Real before I could buy it. I saved a few more, but those too sold out quickly or the price was still high. That is until one I saved on Vestiaire Collective reduced price. I got excited but knew not to get to connected to it. I received another alert that the price had reduced to $850 and knew it was in my reach. I waited another month and the price went down to $750. I instantly got excited. I knew in the next 15 days I would receive a payout form the Real Real and could buy it. I reached out to the seller to let them know I was interested and was waiting for the payout to purchases. Each day seemed like it couldn’t move any quicker. The week of felt like forever, like never ending. By Wednesday I decided to make an offer on the quote. I shot for $640, the seller came back to $680. I decided to send again for $660, the seller accepted and pure excitement hit. I paid for the coat first thing in the monring and by the end of the day I had received tracking.

As soon as it was delivered I opened it immediately. I can’t believe it’s finally mine, and I can’t wait for the brutal winter months to be kept warm with my Uniqlo heat-tech and Margiela coat!

i may or may not have a sneaker problem...

or it could be that there aren’t more desirable sneakers on the market, than the old days where Jordan Brand was the  pinnacle. The relaxed athleisure moment has been so beneficial to my wardrobe, because I am not a heels girl and when my feet hurt that’s all my mind can focus on lol.

I’ve collected a few pairs of Jordan’a over the years, but I’ve rarely reached for them. I purchased a pair of Gucci ace sneakers last year, and I’ve worn those on days when I want a light but fun shoe. Ive practically worn my Vans Old Skool’s into the ground, and they do get better with wear! I rwill century purchased a pair of the classic Vans checkered slip-on’a with sherpa fur for a fun twist on a classic. I’ve also been rocking my all red Nike Air Force 1’s, which are my favorite, from one of the many city packs Nike releases.

Nike, recently, has made an effort to create shoes and collections that specific for their female consumers. The Season of Her release was the first push, which included silk and woven paste shades of the Jordan 1s. They were a big hit, but I’m not a pastel girl so I still haven’t decided if I will go back and get a pair. I was instantly intrigued when I saw the collection of the The 1’s Reimanged collection. It included twist on the the classic Jordan 1 and Air Force 1, which are my two favorite shoes styles from the brand. I loved the Jester XX pair from the first look. The featured an ivory leather upper, with the platform styled bottom. Now I love a platform, so I knew these had to be mine! the shoes are lightweight, but give me the boost in height I desire.

I have my eye on 2 more pairs of Air Force ones that are due to be released this week, and the best part is that they are iridescent! I really love that Nike has made the effort to bring women more option and creative styles. I am really looking forward to more releases.

accepting my fragrance obsession...

hi, my name is Kasandra and I am admitting that I have a fragrance obsession.  It’s a new obsession, and quite pricey! it’s developed over the last year as my obsession with makeup has settled, this has grown. I’ve fallen in love with Tom Ford’s entire fragrance lines, from Neroli Portifino, Orchid Soleil, Noir, Velvet Orchid, and the staple Black Orchid. Tom Ford’s perfumes are strong and I wear them when on days when I feel bold.  I’ve tried other perfumes, Chanel, Marc Jacobs, Chloé, etc. for the days I want a light but powerful scent, but I haven’t found anything that has kept me coming back, until now!

One of the beauty’s of ordering from Sephora’s website is the 3 sample options that come with your purchase. I always make sure I try different samples of fragrances. Over the past few months a Maison Margiela Replica fragrance has been in the sample selection. Needless to say, I have a lot of Margiela fragrance samples lol. I’ve tried the ‘Jazz Club’ scent, which is a heavy masculine scent but it reminded me a lot of my Tom Ford fragrances that I always go back to. The ‘Lipstick On’ fragrance stuck with me immediately! I used one tube in a day,  continuously spray myself throughout the day. Once I ran out of all my samples in the scent I knew I needed to immediately order a full size bottle. I’ve worn this fragrance for two weeks straight, which is huge for me because I typically wear to different scent each day.

You know the addiction is real when i’ve Already started scouting new scenes for the spring! ‘Lazy Sunday Morning’, also a Replica fragrance, has notes of patchouli and lily that would be perfect for a rainy spring day.

What are some of your favorite fragrances and what do you have your eye on?

Seeing red

I’ve been obsessed with Tracee Ellis Ross since ‘Girlfriends’. That’s were i first learned of the Hermès Birkin and Kelly bags, which Joan and Toni owned. She has impeccable style, that feels so natural and authentic. I was pleasantly surprised when I learned she would be releasing a collection with JCPenny’s on my birthday, November 12! Everyday I looked through the collection photos on to piece through which items I would get. When I first saw the red robe and matching wide leg pants, paired with a burnt red sweater, I knew they would be mine. The collection also included mini crossbody bucket bags, which I picked up in every shade. Her collection with JCPenny’s has to be my favorite celebrity fashion collab because it feels so authentic. Every piece is something you have seen or would see Tracee in. It was young and fresh! Needless to say i wracked up on the collection, and because it JCPenny’s I was able to use coupons!

Red was the color for Fall 2017. It was everywhere on everyone! I decided to take on the all red challenge and piece my Tracee Ellis Ross pieces with my favorite Nike Air Force 1’s from a city pack a few years back. I also paired it with Rihanna’s ‘Uncensored’ lip stain. This has been my favorite outfit from 2018 that I have worn. It was so fun, but fit loose and relaxed.
